Alanya Gazipaşa Airport is an international airport serving the Gazipaşa, Anamur, Alanya, Kargıcak, Kestel, Payallar, Avsallar, Okurcalar, Kızılağaç and Side regions of Turkey’s Antalya province. Located 45 kilometers from Alanya, the aerodrome has a terminal building of 2144 m² and a parking lot with a capacity of 105 vehicles.
Also known as Alanya Gazipaşa International Airport, the aerodrome is registered as “Gazipaşa Airport” in the High Planning Board of the State Planning Organization. The port, which has the distinction of being the first airport in Turkey with a highway passing under it, was inaugurated on 13 July 2009.
Gazipaşa Alanya Airport, whose activity increases especially in the summer months, is intensively used by private jet charter services.

History of Alanya Gazipasa Airport
Although the airport, the construction of which started in 1991, was completed in 1999, it could not be opened due to the change in power of the period. All equipment belonging to the port was sent to other airports, as the airport was not opened despite being completely finished. The idle airport was put out to tender again at the end of 2007 and was given to TAV Holding with the contract signed by the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) on January 4, 2008. After TAV Holding completed the deficiencies in the port, the airport was opened on 13 July 2009, 10 years after its completion.
It is a fact that the runway of the port should be extended to 2.500 meters in order to increase flight safety at the airport. After the previous works, the operations started on 13 December 2013. As part of the scope of the works, a 204 meter long underpass was built on the D400 highway, and the airport runway was extended by passing over the highway.
In the 2011 holiday season, the port was opened to international flights with the first flight from Amsterdam.

Alanya Gazipasa Airport transportation information
There are many alternatives to reach the city center from the airport, which is 45 km away from Alanya city center.
Havaş buses departing from the stops outside the airport terminal building are the most practical way to reach the center. The buses departing after each flight to Gazipaşa Airport depart 25 minutes after the plane landing time and arrive in Alanya in approximately 1 hour.
There are 2 types of taxis outside the airport; yellow commercial taxis operating by using standard taximeters and taxis operating under the Gazipaşa Airport Taxi Drivers Cooperative and carrying out transportation with a fixed fee.
For passengers who want to rent a private car, alternatives such as Rent Go, Garenta Rent a Car and Aytucar are available. Passengers who want to reach the city center with their private vehicle can reach the city center in about 40 minutes via the D400 main road.
