Hawker 400XP

The Hawker 400XP, manufactured by Hawker Beechcraft, is an enhanced version of Beechcraft’s Beechjet 400 and Beechjet 400A models. When Raytheon bought the Hawker brand from British Aerospace, they revised their Beechjet models as Hawker and named them Hawker 400 and Hawker 400A. After that, with some improvements on the Hawker 400A model they manufactured, the name of the new model became Hawker 400XP.

With a cabin height of 1.47 m and a cabin width of 1.50 m, the Hawker 400XP is one of the most frequently used business jets in the world for short distance air taxi flights. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5R engines, the 400XP can reach a top speed of 833 km/h. This jet, which has 6-9-seat seating configurations, can carry approximately 5 pieces of baggage.

The Hawker 400XP is basically the same as the 400A with some minor changes. The aircraft, along with a typical seating plan, has some prominent features such as special toilet compartment, different seat configurations, optional Honeywell Ovation C series cabin entertainment system, XM Satellite Radio service and Teledyne AvVisor cabin information system.

Although 400XP, whose journey started with the Mitsubishi MU-300 Diamond series, has undergone many changes along the way as the Beechjet 400, Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XP, but the only thing that hasn’t changed is the 400 series’ strong position in the light jet market.
