Figari-Sud Corse Airport or Figari South Corsica Airport is an airport located 3 km northwest of Figari, a commune in the Corse-du-Sud region of France, on the island of Corsica and 25 km southwest of Porto-Vecchio. The airport is the third largest airport in Corsica and was opened in 1975. The airport is the most used port by private jet charter companies for flights to the region.

Figari-Sud Corse Airport history
On September 1, 1970, the first meeting was held at the Figari town hall to discuss the construction of an airport for southern Corsica, which was then planned as a category D airport. In 1971, the airport project was upgraded to category B. 56 million francs were invested in the construction.
Opened in 1975, Figari airport was served in its first years by Air Alpes, Kallistair5 , TAT, EAS, Point Air, Air Liberté, Air Littoral, Air Lib, Kyrnair. Today, Figari is served by Air Corsica in conjunction with Air France. Ryanair has opened several seasonal routes, followed by other low-cost companies. The airport is also the most important airport in Corsica in terms of private jet traffic.
The current terminal building is the work of architects Dominique Villa and Jean Michel Battesti. The project was carried out between 1991 and 1996.
Designed to handle 500,000 passengers a year, the airport handled 756,000 passengers in 2018, thanks to strong growth in passenger numbers in the 2010s. In 2018 – 2019, major runway rehabilitation works and improvements were carried out, including the creation of end-of-runway safety areas, the creation of intermediate turn lanes, cleaning, road markings and the resumption of lighting. These works resulted in a complete disruption of air traffic between February 18 and March 24, 2019. In addition, road works were carried out from 2020 to 2022 to facilitate access to the airport and reduce traffic congestion, especially during the summer months

There are regular bus services between the airport and Porto-Vecchio three times a day, with a journey time of approximately thirty minutes. Taxi stands are located right next to the bus stops outside the port.
