Erzurum Airport, located in the Aziziye district of Erzurum city, is managed by the State Airports Authority (DHMI). Open 24 hours a day, the aerodrome is approximately 25 km from the center of Erzurum.
The airport, which was opened as a military facility in 1966, was opened to international non-scheduled flights in 1993 and started to serve in the new terminal building in 2005. It has a terminal with a capacity of 2.000.000 passengers per year and two concrete runways with an instrument landing system (ILS). The passenger apron can accommodate seven commercial aircraft. Military equipment as well as other small aprons and hangars are available for the use of air force. The port is used for private jet flights to the region for winter sports, especially in winter.

After reaching the city center, it is possible to reach every point of the city by municipal buses.
Train is another public transportation that can be used apart from the bus. Erzurum Station is located right next to the İstasyon Square. While it is possible to reach many points of the city from the Station, it is also possible to travel from Erzurum to Kars or Ankara.
