Zonguldak Çaycuma Airport is located in Saltukova, in Çaycuma district of Zonguldak province, in the west of the Black Sea region of Turkey. The total size of the terminal building of the port is 1.430 m². Within the terminal building, there are check-in area, waiting hall, VIP lounge for private jet passengers, car park with a capacity of 40 vehicles, health service, equipped cafeteria in the cafe and restaurant category, 1 bank ATM open for common use, 1 rent a car office, souvenir shops that can be visited during the waiting for flight hours, security point, administrative operation and assistance support office, baggage section for baggage waiting operations.
The runway in the port is 2131 metres long, 45 metres wide and made of concrete. The airport, which has a common terminal for departures and arrivals, has a capacity of 500,000 passengers per year. In 2018, maintenance work was carried out on the runway and ILS landing system was installed

History of Zonguldak Airport
Construction started in 1991, but due to financing difficulties the airport was only completed eight years later, in 1999. In 2002, the airport was officially closed as no aircraft movements had taken place by then. Five years later, in 2007, the airport was leased by Zonguldak Özel Sivil Havacılık Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (ZONHAV) and reopened.
The first commercial flight to Zonguldak took place on 21 July 2009 with 148 passengers from Düsseldorf on a Boeing 737-700 chartered by Öger Tours and operated by German airline Germania with flight number ST6310. Currently, Sunexpress and Corendon Airlines fly from Germany to Zonguldak. Turkish Airlines operates domestic flights
