Kayseri Erkilet Airport is an aerodrome open for military and civilian use, located in the Erkilet district of the Kocasinan district of Kayseri. The port, which was opened to civil air traffic in 1998, is stationed at the 12th Air Transport Main Base Command, located next to the port.

History of Kayseri Erkilet Airport
Kayseri Erkilet Airport, which was opened by the General Directorate of Railways, Ports and Airports Construction and started to serve, was transferred to the General Directorate of State Airports Administration in 1998. In the same year, with the protocol signed between the Turkish Air Force Command and the General Directorate of State Airports Authority, the port continued to serve in civil and military categories.
Kayseri Erkilet Airport was used in the common area as domestic and international flights until 2007. Due to the insufficient capacity, the construction of a new international terminal building came to the agenda in 2005 and the construction of the new international terminal building was started in December 2005. After 2 years of work, the new international terminal building was put into service in June 2007. Following the renovation of the international terminal, the construction of a new domestic terminal was started in March 2009 and the new terminal building was put into service in August 2010.

Kayseri Erkilet Airport transportation services are provided by municipal buses, Havaş, taxis and private transfer vehicles.
The easiest way to reach Talas, which is the city center, is by Havaş buses, which depart 25 minutes after the plane lands. In addition to the Havaş service, the buses numbered 100, 101, 271 belonging to the municipality depart from the stops outside the airport every 30 minutes and reach the center in approximately 20 minutes. Buses operate between 06:30 and 22:00 hours.
