Denizli Cardak Airport is a national civil and military airport located in Denizli, Turkey. The airport is located in the town of Çardak, a small town. Denizli Cardak Airport is located 65 km east of the provincial capital Denizli and 5 km southeast of Çardak. With just under 650.000 passengers per year, the airport is one of the medium-sized airports in Turkey. It is operated by the state-owned DHMI. Opened in 1991, the airport has a terminal with an area of 16.890 m² and has the capacity of 2.2 million passengers per year.
While the airport was sufficient for military, civil and private jet flights in the first period of its establishment, expansion studies came to the fore as the demand increased in the following years. As a result of the planning, modernization works started in 2001 and first the domestic terminal was expanded and then a new international terminal was added. The modernization works were completed in 2008.
