Çanakkale Airport runway extension, expansion and PAT fields maintenance and repair construction were completed in December 2012 within the scope of modernization works, and these facilities were put into service in March 2014.

The New Terminal Building, the construction of which started in 2015, and the apron with 3 parking positions were completed on May 31, 2017. There is 1 VIP Passenger Lounge for private jet passengers in the newly opened terminal building.

Transportation from the city center to Çanakkale Airport

Public buses are used to reach the city center from Çanakkale Airport. The journey from the airport to the city center takes approximately 20 minutes. Buses on the Ç8 Bus Line Route serve between 07.25 – 22.20 on weekdays, and between 07.30 – 17.30 on weekends.
