History of Estonia Tartu Airport

Tartu Airport, which was put into service on May 15, 1946, gained a new terminal building in 1981, 35 years after its opening. The runway and the taxiway in the port were also renewed in the same period. The airport has been operated by Tallinn Airport Ltd. since 2005. In 2009, the runway was extended to 1.799 m. Tartu International Airport served 23.504 passengers in 2010.
