Erzincan Yildirim Akbulut Airport is an important airport serving the Erzincan province of Turkey. It was first put into service in 1988 and is built on a large area. The airport has a total area of 4,034,100 square meters and has a domestic terminal with a capacity of 3,000,000 passengers/year. The terminal building has a passenger use area of 1,000 square meters and offers facilities such as a VIP lounge for private jet passengers, a PTT branch, car rental offices, a buffet and health services. The airport also has a concrete paved runway measuring 3,000×45 meters and a parking lot with a capacity of 334 cars and 11 buses. The airport’s new terminal building was inaugurated on March 5, 2011 by then Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The airport was renamed “Erzincan Yildirim Akbulut Airport” on July 1, 2021, after former Prime Minister Yildirim Akbulut. This name change adds meaning to the city of Erzincan and the country’s overall aviation history, and also reflects respect for the services and contributions of the former Prime Minister.

Erzincan Airport has been serving with domestic flights since 1988. HAVAŞ, taxi, minibus taxi and car rental options are available for transportation to the city center.
HAVAŞ buses depart from the front of the airport to important points in the city center and take passengers to their desired destination in maximum 30 minutes. Car rental offices located in the terminal building also offer an alternative option and you can take delivery of your car by making a reservation. Taxis are the most practical option to reach the city center quickly and are available 24 hours a day.
