Kuala Lumpur Havalimanı kısa tarihi

Kuala Lumpur Airport, Malaysia’s most modern airport, was designed in 1990 as a result of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport becoming insufficient. Although the construction of the new port brought with it discussions, the government of the period did not take a step back and the terminal 3 building was completed in 1993.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport was officially opened in 1998. In its first year, the airport served just over 13 million passengers, although estimates were for much higher numbers. Airport traffic has been drastically reduced with the 1997 Asian financial crisis, SARS, the avian flu pandemic, the 2007-2008 financial crisis, the 2009 swine flu pandemic, and the overall decline in economic activity caused by COVID-19.
