Kinshasa Airport, officially known as N’djili Airport, is an international airport serving the city of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The port got its name from the N’djili River, which is located near the city. History of N’djili Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airport was first opened in 1953. In 1998, N’Djili airport was the site of one of the decisive battles of the Second Congo War. Rebel forces advancing in Kinshasa infiltrated the area around the airport, but were repulsed by Zimbabwean troops and aircraft arriving in support of Laurent Kabila’s government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
