General history of Le Bourget Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airport began commercial operation in 1919 and served as the only airport in Paris until the construction of Orly Airport in 1932. The port was also the first aerodrome in France that can be landed in all weather conditions. The port, which suffered serious damage during World War II, became unusable.
